Yesterday

AMPS 249, ketones lo, 9lbs 14.5oz. Still not really eating on his own but otherwise everything's looking good, just wish I knew why he wasn't gaining any weight back.

Maybe just try another food, just to see if he would eat it on his own with appetite !

That is the problem with IBD otherwise known as leaky gut. The intestines are damaged and have a hard time "absorbing" the nutrients and energy. Then on top is the diabetes in which the body is lacking the "keys" to unlock that energy that does get through to be used by the body. My heart goes out to you as this is not an easy thing to balance. With Jones, I used the highest calorie food that had the lowest carb and highest protein possible. I did try raw with him, as that would be the best solution, but Jones' was not having it.


Just remember that you are doing your best for him. He is more than his numbers - with BG or weight - how does he feel, how is he acting? Take time out just to enjoy Sebastian.

230@+6. PMPS 177, 9lbs 12.5oz. Got the shipment of Darwin's lamb in finally and gave him his first sample. He ate it right down, so hopefully that has no problems and we can transition to that.
