Yesterday at Tricia's House of Chaos

Another flat blue day. Looks a lot like yesterday. So does that mean he'll hit the lagoon again tonight? Works for me. Tomorrow will throw a monkey wrench into the works, since we have Cinco's follow up appointment with the dermatologist at 11 am. He usually goes low when he gets home from the vet....stay tuned.

Sssshhhh! Be vewy, vewy quiet! Don't wake me up from this lovely dream I'm having. EVERYONE ate all their breakfast this morning! In fact, everyone had seconds!!!

What's really interesting is that Minka is now eating foods that she has been avoiding for the past few months, like the EVO 95% Chicken and Turkey I gave them this morning. Maybe the chemo's affect on her taste buds has resolved? She seems to feel better today, even more so than yesterday. She did, however, insist on some baby food during fluids. She likes the ham flavor, as well as the chicken, and Walmart always has that, so I stocked up. Chicken always seems to be in short supply. Must be the one everyone buys the most of. Can you say inventory control???

Sasha has had three (or is it four?) servings so far today. Only a small amount of Forti Flora was needed. I actually had to open a second can!!! Who are these cats??? :joyful:

I need to get moving with the spot cleaner and take care of the stains from the vomit and poo episodes recently. I had to go get more solution for it, but now we're ready to roll.

Hope you are all having/have had a good Hump Day!

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans, especially Andrea & Tennessee and Laura & ChiChi. :bighug: Extra prayers and vines to Amy's DF, Marje's DM, Chris' DM, Molly's DM and Elise's DM.

What a great report for all your kitties. I hope they keep eating. I hope Cinco visits the lagoon again tonight.

What a great report today!! It's always wonderful to hear that your whole crew ate without any problems!!

Cinco....your presence is requested at the lagoon....the coals are hot and there's kabob's to make!....maybe later you and I can go in for a nice moonlight swim too!

Woohoo! Kitties are on a roll. Safe daytime blues for Cinco (stay tuned for tonight's episode) and good appies all around. :)

Thanks for being quiet when you visited us, Carla, Linda, Chris and Wendy. I didn't wake up. All dinners have been consumed.

Let's see if we can keep this dream alive through the evening!

I forgot to mention in my condo that when I came down this morning, the first thing I was was Cinco sitting on the floor, near his litter box. He looked a little strange, and I could smell that he'd just made a deposit, so I figured he was about to do a butt drag. As I was trying to figure out how to abort it, his sides started heaving and he threw up. Just a little. It looked like it might have been part of a hairball, but since he'd done it right after going poo, I can't help but think the two events are related. I've noticed that he often has to strain when he goes poo. So now, if he has to strain, but the poo is loose, what the heck do I do???

how great on the eating.... send some of those vibes our way....

I don't have an answer for that.... I'd probably get an xray or at least let the vet give a good feel to see if they feel anything
in the intestinal tract.

Awesome awesome awesome appy reports...I hope that continued through the night and into today!!!

For Cinco...just tossing a couple ideas out there. With the straining....could he actually be a bit constipated? I've heard that when they are backed up, sometimes the soft stuff "gets around" the hard stuff, making it seem like they have diarrhea rather than constipation. Or, maybe he's having spasms, so it seems like he's straining when he's not. Just a couple thoughts....

What Amy says about constipation is true. It happened to my mom and she actually had an obstruction. We were shocked because she didn't seem constipated. I'm not at all suggesting anything like that is going on with Cinco but a little Miralax for a few days might help if he's a little constipated.
