Go Cinny! Go Cinny! Go Cinny! Go Cinny! Go Cinny!

Not too much to worry about with a low number when you haven't given insulin, unless the kitty is otherwise unwell. I think Cinnamon is just showing off! ;)

    Congrats on day 5!!:D:cool:

Non diabetic cats normal blood sugar includes the 40's, we just don't want cats on insulin to go that low as it allows no margin for safety. Cinny probably enjoyed the gravy, but it wasn't really necessary.

Remember Debra.....an occasional blue number isn't something to worry about

Don't panic and wait for +3 to get another test....by testing again at +1, you're just seeing a natural food spike...give her pancreas a chance to kick into gear!

Even a non-diabetic's blood glucose will go up after a meal....then their pancreas kicks in and releases insulin and brings it back down

Ok :) I know you are right.....it's my ptsd kicking in again :(
    I'll check at +3
I'm sure it will be ok, I've just got to stop panicking :(

Any cat who gives you a 40 on day 5 definitely has a working pancreas! Cinny's got this.
