The impurity detected in the finished drug product is N-nitrosodiethylamine (NDEA), which is a substance that occurs naturally in certain foods, drinking water, air pollution, and industrial processes, and has been classified as a probable human carcinogen as per International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classification.

My cat Ravan takes this Med He also has Diabetes & Kidney disease. I'm concerned now about the Amlodipine!

I sent my Vet an Email & am waiting to hear his advice.

This is what I mean about taking drugs & giving them to my animals! Did they just now discover that Amlodipine contains this Chemical! I'll bet they made a ton of money from selling it!

I try to avoid ALL meds if at all possible.

It was recalled in Canada July 2018. There are other drugs available for high blood pressure in cats.
