Oh Monday...

... :coffee:

WCR: Some Ps in place. Little girl isn't eating well this morning. I tried feeding her a crumb of cypro in a Pill Pocket, but she didn't want anything to do with the Pill Pockets. UGH! Unfortunately, I had to "force" it into her mouth. I did not shove it down her throat...just placed it in her mouth and let her chew it and reluctantly swallow it. She's eating a little better now, but I have to hold her bowl for her. So sassy. She hasn't peed yet this morning, which is unusual. If she's absorbed her fluids by tonight, I'll see about giving her 100mL. Our allergies are on fire with all of this tropical storm rain...little watery, itchy eyes. :blackeye:

Is it suggested that I give Shasta Ondansetron every day? Or Cerenia? This would be so much easier if my vet would write us a script for Ondansetron. :banghead: On average, I was giving her either Cerenia or Ondansetron every other day. Again, I've been holding back from the Ondansetron because I don't have it readily available. :arghh:

Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Blessings!

I just replied to yesterday's condo....for the cerenia, you can dose 4mg every 24 hours. I would try that for a while (especially since you currently can't get Onda) and see how she does. Does she get Pepcid at all, too?

Sending feel better vines for Shasta!!

How much does Shasta weigh? Cerenia is dosed by weight and if not given enough won't work. The pulls don't get completely absorbed. Vines. I wish you could get ondansetron. I know some who have gotten it from their own doctors. It does need to be given at least two times a day and is dosed .5 per pound on the lower end of dosing . I just read this again yesterday written by a vet. Sometimes it needs to be given 3 times a day. He said it has been under dosed.

It depends on the cat. I find every day help my kitties. Shasta might not need it every day. Or she might respond better to Cerenia. You'll have to observe her on each and see which seems to help more. Very frustrating on the lack of cooperation from your vet.

Sending appy vines.
