    Hi Everyone,
    I have a quick question...
my cat is having dental work tomorrow morning,
and my vet said to reduce the dose tomorrow and only give half of what I normally give him
and stop feeding him after 8pm tonight.
Does that sound right because everyone on the PZI site says no insulin in the morning
very nervous about what to do
    Thanks for any input

A couple of my vets has said 1/2 does in the morning if the BG is like it normally is.

My vet also said to give a half dose; it worked just fine.
Without any insulin, his glucose may continue to rise to unhelpful levels, even without eating. Remember, the liver can release some glucose as cant the break down of fat.

Tomorrow evening, after the dental, you may have to temporarily reduce the dose because the anesthesia can make their numbers plummet as it wears off.
