Happy appy, snuggly, bright-eyed, and feisty. Yep, we are not out of the woods with gelcap feistiness....took 4 packings and involved growling and swatting (but no hissing !) this morning. She was tense before before the first attempt, so I knew I was doomed from the get-go. Oh how I hate the gelcap. Yes, it makes things a lot easier....but I still hate it. Right now I think my confidence is pretty shattered and when the stupid thing goes down, it's just dumb luck. It gives me such a headache right now. Hopefully this phase will pass soon.

On the plus side, her appy is on the high-end of the happy scale, and I did get nice long snuggles after the fiasco.

It's a work day...time to get moving. I've got the store to myself today, so I'll try to sneak some visiting in. More prayers heading out to all in need....thinking of Tricia and Cinco for his surgery today.

Have a great day, L&LL!

Do you use a piller for the gelcap? That really helps me get the pill to the back of the throat and then swallowing. I was using a piller to give Tillie a potassium supplement. After a few weeks, she decided that potassium powder in her food was just fine after all. :joyful:

I've never used a piller, and at this point since we've been doing this for so long, I'm really afraid to change my method since that could possibly magnify the issues. Fortunately the rough times only come in spurts - we just happen to be caught in one of those spurts right now!

Bummer on the gelcap fiascos. Sasha has decided she really doesn't like to be pilled and is getting harder to do. Minka managed to spit out her Hyper-T med today and I didn't see it for an hour - but I DID see it! So you have my total empathy.

Isn't it nice how forgiving they are?

Sending smooth pilling vines.

Thanks for thinking of us.
