This morning Hugo did some fast moves again, first dropping to 126 at +2 and then going under 50 at +3.25. I fed him MC and HC, and just had to leave him with my mom at +4 when he was 54 to make it to my appointment. Luckily he was on his way up at that point.

As you can see from the SS, I didn't take the reduction. The reason being that I want to try slowing him down with the +1 feedings, which I haven't done in a while. If he still seems to drop too much, I will reduce right away. I just hate to reduce when he has been having such good numbers recently. I hope that makes sense to you?

Tiina, have seeing as Hugo doesn't hasn't been holding his reductions so well, have you thought about using the 3 drops below 50?

I know you have looked at Ivanas ss, who was also really bouncy, she swapped to to the 3 drops under 50 at one point and if my memory serves me it helped flatten her out a bit, and she started holding her reductions better. Just a thought.

Carla has suggested it to me before, but I haven't been brave enough to do it. But I will try now :) Hugo is very challenging when he is on low numbers, because there is just no telling from his behavior what his BG is. Even when he was 27 once I could see no change in him. The +2 tells a lot where he is headed at. If he changes colour by +2, then he will go to green. Some days he goes through nearly all the colours of the spectre in one cycle. He has gained back muscle, which I am really happy about. I want to take him to a dental, but it's a lot of saving money...So expensive here. Last time they said he might have a forl tooth. But I'm down to the last pen of Lantus now anyway, so in a month or so he at least needs a vet visit for a bloodwork and a new prescription for Lantus.

Oh and he has an upset tummy again from the foods he ate this morning... Hello old buddy Saccharomyces Boulardii :woot: we need you again
