it appears he listened to me .. and here's the daytime blue and green cycle

just gave him the "juice" from Friskies mixed grill plus a good sized meal, will be keeping an eye on him
plus one Temptations catnip treat, which may affect his BG about the same time the juices wear off

so ! no increase for awhile yet, in fact this may have qualified him for a decrease .. somehow I had a feeling this was coming

this is pretty close to the time bracket where he hits nadir, not expecting much , if anything, lower

Glad you're seeing some better numbers...please test frequently now...he's getting mighty close to the 'edge' - don't want him going under...might be time for a little snack of medium carb...:nailbiting:

for him, Friskies Mixed Grill *is* MC ... he runs about 30-50 points higher on it than on FF or 4Health .. he got a pair of dried sardines and some freezedried whitefish as well for a snack .. then ran outside to take care of "business", just now came back in and got another Friskies snack

will keep my eyes on him later on as he seems to have another BG dip sometimes in the 2 hours preceding or at PMPS time

no dip yet -- instead a big bounce -- so typical of him ...

I opened the big can of Friskies, so he'll be eating that all night and possibly into tomorrow -- originally he was eating 2 of the 5.5 oz cans of LC plus a full can of FancyFeast -- these days I'm trying to keep him at no more than 2 of the 5.5 ouncers, sometimes a little bit less than that -- at one time he weighed between 16 and 17 pounds, while I think he looks best in the 14-15 range -- so he still has narrow flanks and a bit of a waist, and his ribs aren't padded, though he's starting to fill them out a bit -- at diagnosis he was just over 10 pounds and looked starved

it seems to be the rice in the ingredients -- though I have four brands of food with similar carbo percentages, the ones with rice as an ingredient seem to produce higher numbers for him .. he doesn't seem to have the same problem with potato as an ingredient .. it's somewhat subtle, but it helps me when I try to "feed the curve" and also to cushion any deep drops on the night cycle
