Beth, he never had swelling! I contribute that to Traumeel get I put on him all around the orbital area prior to surgery and twice a day for two days after. It is incredible stuff!!! (My homeopath told me to do that)He really does look like he is winking!he is looking really good no more swelling or redness.
You can say that again. The anxiety prior was way worse than it was. Sigh.Looking good, Bubba. Bet you are glad to have that behind you, Bobbi.
Thanks Lucy, he really does look good. Even his post operative the same day was not that horrible. The internet photos of the procedure were horrible. Plus, his vet did not shave him which I was thankful .Awww, such a sweetie! He looks great, Bobbie! (I like the clear cone, that's nice. Khoji's was more opaque, he couldn't really see through it.)![]()
Thanks Carol. He is just so gorgeous
Thanks Jeanne, I do a lot of kissing. He is just so darn handsome. You just want time kiss him.
So glad he doing well.
Thanks Cindi! He is almost good as new.Ah, he is such a darling with such character. Love ya Bubba!
Ha! Yes, we'll have to come up with a new nickname for him. He's gorgeous. He's gonna be a hit with the lady's with that wink! Glad he's doing so well!
Thanks, he really is doing well.Aww! Glad to see the cutie is doing well!
There should be a pic of Bubba post surgery if you scroll up.I must've missed the original post on this, can I ask what happened?
Oh, @Mogmom and Goofus do you mean why he lost his eye? He had a condition called Diffused Iris Melanoma which can be malignant and the only way to know for sure is to remove the eye and biopsy it . If I haven't had the enucleation done he would have eventually developed glaucoma (very painful ) and the eye would have to be removed anyway. We are waiting for the biopsy report. Fingers and Paws crossed .There should be a pic of Bubba post surgery if you scroll up.

Thanks Sharon. One eye or not, he's still going to be lady killer!Bobbie, he looks great! He really is a handsome boy!
HA!!!! I just took the cone off him, 12 hours early but he is so ready!!!!! I was thinking about what you said previously with Khoji's cone being opaque. That is really torture!! The cone is going in Bubba's litter box for him to tell it what he really thought about it! HA!Bobbie, I just saw this and it made me think of Bubba!
Thanks Shane; he healed up nicely!Aww, Bubba is really looking good!

Thanks Tammy, I am very optimistic. Fingers and Paw crossed!Thank you Bobbie. I'd seen the post op pic, but didn't know the purpose of the surgery. I'm sorry that happened to your baby. He sure is a cutie! I hope you get good news on the biopsy!
HA! He had a spring in his step and jumped up into the bay window where the afternoon sun was streaming in and preened and preened and took a nap . His PMPS was lower than it's been in while, so my guess is he is a happy camper. I haven't given him the pass to the man cave yet. Still want to observe him and make sure he isn't itching and going to do damage with the back feet. It is so nice to be able to kiss his head without the dang gone cone in the way!Was he SOOO happy when you took the cone off?!?! Did he gallop down to his man cave? Or is he acting like a cat -- like it's no big deal?![]()

Thank, Brenda! He's looking good, I am going to post a more recent pic soon.Just now catching up with things..! Sorryy
So glad your sweet Bubba is doing so well now!
You're a great Mom, Bobbie. I think the wink is for YOU.
Love ya Bubba![]()
