    Hi,

I posted below under discouraged about Elmo.

He has been on 2 U PZI U100 insulin made by Wedgewood pharmacy. He was on one with little or no change to bg and 1 1/2 with a slight change now he is on 2 units bid.

He has been on this dose for a little over a week.

    Ok pre shot 6am - 360
    Gave 2 units- fed
    Plus 4hrs - 326
    6hrs - 312
    8hrs- 240
    10hrs - 220
12 hrs pre shot 6pm -317 Gave 2 units, fed

What do you think? Up dose to 2 1/2 units??

He gets fed 3 times daily, at am shot, pm shot and then at 10-11pm or so.

    Thanks.

    Re: Elmos curve results

Hi - hope you are getting all the help that you need. FYI when you post use this format:

    4/19 (today's date) Elmo (pet's name) AMPS - xxx (kitty's BG w/ no food for 2 hrs prior) = 4/19 Elmo AMPS 360

You can add a note to grab attention like: Dose Advice??, Help needed!

    4/19 Elmo AMPS help needed!

In an emergency use the 911 option when posting.

Using the format helps others focus on you and your particular needs. I'm new to this too & know how difficult it is to absorb all the information & learn to use all of the tools - ask a specific question as it arises & someone will answer you. Be sure to put some in the subject like: need help posting or need help with SpreadSheet, etc.

    Take care.

Kay, by feeding at +10 you have no idea what his +12 ps would have been. He was still going down, you fed, he went up.
