Alternate Injection Sites?

Lola’s got diffuse swelling above her shoulder blades and surrounding area which has gotten progressively worse over about a week and a half now. I was able to get her into the vet, and the vet thinks it’s from injecting insulin there. She’s advised to stop injecting there and start using alternative sites like above the hind legs, but I couldn’t see her demonstrate because clients aren’t allowed into the clinic due to COVID-19 (they pick your pets up from the car instead).

I tried doing an injection in that area today, but the skin seems really tight there, so it’s hard to pull the skin up. I’m not totally certain that the insulin went into Lola tonight, although there wasn’t wetness around the area. My question is, are there resources (especially videos, but also pictures and websites) I can look at for which sites I can use and the proper technique?

There are a ton of video's on YouTube...just search for "giving insulin to a cat". Here's one (don't pay attention to her "instructions" on pushing the insulin back in the vial) but it shows a good close up for "tenting".

And I can never find the picture I'm looking for but there's another way other than "tenting" that works better for some people. It's called "wrist roll". You grab some fur between your thumb and forefinger and then "roll" your wrist to gently pull the hair until there's a "break". Aim for the "break" and shoot. Here's a picture that might help explain better (but it's not the one I want)

The problem is that all the videos use the scruff/above the shoulder blades, and I can’t use that area because of Lola’s swelling. I was hoping maybe there were videos showing injections into the flank, hind legs, etc. Literally any other subcutaneous injection site; I need to actually see someone do it...
