Hi all. I posted on my Facebook today and asked if anybody had any Lantus or Levemir (I'm about to start my cat on insulin) and a friend, who was my neighbor growing up, said she said:

"come by here tomorrow I have a syringe you can have. It's out this month but it's actually good for 6 mo. after date."

Awesome. But I was wondering, what she means by "syringe" and "out this month but actually good for 6 months after the date."

    Thoughts?
    thanks

She probably means insulin pen and they usually last about 6 months when refrigerated. You extract insulin from the pen using a syringe and inject using the syringe not the pen.
