    Hi,

I normally post on the Lantus & Levemir page, but I have a question regarding my kitty's chemo meds for his intestinal lymphoma and I thought there might be some people here that could help.

The chemo drug that Harvey is on for his intestinal lymphoma (Chlorambucil) recently went up in price, to a

whopping $543 for 24 pills at Costco! In searching for a better deal, it was suggested I check Diamondback

Drugs, a compounding pharmacy in Scottsdale, AZ. I read the reviews online, and they are mixed, but it

seems the only bad thing people really had to say about them is their customer service is poor. The price

they quoted me was $44.50!!! I wrote back and asked them to confirm that price, and they did. I know the

adage that "if something seems too good to be true, it probably is", so I'm leery of trying them for something

    so important to Harvey's well-being.

Does anyone here have any experience with using them? Or have you heard if they are reputable? If they

are, I'll jump on this deal, but I'm nervous. Thanks.

I've used Diamondback Pharmacy in the past. It was a few years ago, but I didn't have any problems. I take my complicated cases to a university vet school and the specialist there is who suggested Diamondback as an option (they're a compounding pharmacy, which can explain the significant difference in price). I've used Wedgewood Pharmacy as well for compounded drugs.

Thank you all for your input. I think I will try Diamondback when it's time for the next refill. I just wish I'd done this before I went ahead and purchased the current one!
