I have read that some members give CBD oil for arthritis relief. I think @FurBabiesMama uses CDB oil and I remember reading just a couple of days ago about Charlotte's Web CBC oil. The name stuck in my head because of the book. I saved a list of recommended brands from previous discussions, but I don't know what country you are in. The list has brands for US, UK and AUS.

I'm sure other members that use the CBD oil will chime in on the hows and what they use it for. I have looked up some information on the internet, just to research mostly for anxiety for Idjit and my sister's dog. It comes in a liquid and can be dosed with a dropper from the different brands that I have looked at. I would think it would be very important to start with a very low dose as you wouldn't know how it would affect your cat, and go from there. Here is the information that I saved from that discussion:

    No, it isn't me. Sorry.

I ordered some Canna-Pet that I was going to try but have not been using it. (Not oil but capsules filled with powder.)

I give my girls 1-TDC. It was strongly recommended by our dental specialist. It is for dental health but also joint health (and other things). I have also very recently started giving Willow Cosequin chews. She is 16 and her back legs have started looking a little bit stiff. I have seen others here talk about using/liking Cosequin. I choose to give Willow the chews rather than the capsules because they also have fish oil in them; however, they do contain glycerin which I have read can sometimes impact blood sugar.

Ah, the 1TDC..yes, now I remember. Do you just open the soft gel and Mia and Willow lick the inside? What brand do you use?

This is what I get: https://www.amazon.com/1-TDC-Dual-Action-Natural-Support/dp/B00CAB5PU2 It's the same thing the specialist gave me.

I squirt it on a few kibbles for Mia and she eats it. I squirt it directly in Willows mouth.

Thank you very much, I am going to try that on Idjit. I have deep dread of the dentals now more than ever. Does it have a strong odor or taste? I ask about the taste because Idj can be picky now and then and I don't want a struggle to get it into his mouth. He doesn't get any kibble now, do you think the supplement gets distributed in Mia's mouth on the kibble?

Yes, I think it gets distributed fine via her licking it up from the kibbles. Willow will not eat it, so I squirt it in her mouth. She has gotten used to me doing it. She always gets treats after.

I have not tasted it, and I don't like the smell but it's not extremely strong. It is supposed to have a 'natural beef flavor', so I guess it depends on whether or not your cat likes that.

TY, didn't mean to hijack your thread racn1320, but this 1-TDC might also be a consideration for you and has dual purpose.

ive been giving her half treats every other day or so,so i wonder if i should give her full treat every day. I use gnc pets ultra mega hip and joint health. I guess I didnt want to give her a full treat so It wouldnt affect her numbers, maybe Im just being to cautious??
