Hi I think I have heard/read that some people who use the AlphaTrak2 use different strips other than the ones that come with the unit. true? if so, what works? the AT2 ones are pretty expensive.

Some of us have used Freestyle Lite strips in the AT meter. They'll give similar reading but you have to do several same blood drop comparisons every time you open a new vial of strips. You leave the AT meter set at whatever the last cat code was.

I did this a long time ago but have since switched to a human meter - a Freestyle Lite. I'm in Canada and can't get the Walmart ReliOn types that many in the US use.

I've read on here that the Freestyle Lite strips are fairly expensive in the US. Less than the AT strips but still $$.

    Freestyle Lite supposedly work.

I ordered AT strips from Adwdiabetes.com and always use a $5 off coupon
