I'm very new to this so feeling very overwhelmed!

I've read the spreadsheet about wet foods available here in Australia but have a question.

Am I better off feeding a quality dry food (vet recommended Hills prescription diabetic) or a cheap wet food like Whiskas loaf? Budget is a concern so some of the expensive wet foods aren't viable for us right now.

Any suggestions for a nervous newbie on a budget would be great!

Even the "diabetic" prescription dry foods are too high in carbs for a diabetic cat....the whole prescription food industry is really a farce (there's a class action suit against Hills in the US right now...basically for false advertising in suggesting that there's anything special about "prescription" foods)

The Whiska's loaf is a much better choice

Not sure if this is the chart you saw, but I think it's the most recent one we have

Thank you so much, yes that is the chart I saved. Just wrapping my head around the fact that Whiskas loaf is better than vet dry food! I know other wet food would be better but budget is currently tighter at the moment than I'm used to.
