Has anyone noticed that their cat's BG #s go up after a B-12 shot? I know at least one person mentioning noticing a dip in BGs after a B-12 shot. I was wondering how often the opposite might happen, if ever.

    Thanks!

If a cat were stressed by the shot , the stress could cause a temporary rise in numbers. What kind of numbers post shot are you seeing and for how long?

B12 has no known effect on blood glucose.

Here is the NIH information sheet on B12:

Thanks for your reply and the info. I haven't given Quincy any B-12 yet. We are potentially on the brink of an OTJ trial for him, and I didn't want a B-12 shot to throw that off potentially. I don't think the shot itself should cause him any stress.

I was just wondering about that. Bear had his weekly B12 shot last night, and had a high amps this morning. Last week's shot did not have as dramatic an effect. With Bear, it could be any number of things, but I did wonder about the coincidence.
