New thread for today :) In process of updating spreadsheet.

    Answering @Nan & Amber from yesterday's post :)

Totally agree! The only thing I'm worried about with the is the days I have to do her routine and then leave the house for work. I won't be home to save her from a dive :/ That's why I wanted to get her on a dose that doesn't send her into lime green automatically.. is something like that usually possible? Today though I will be home so Ill feed again shortly (and usually I am as I don't work a ton of day shifts, but I do evenings and nights). She ate well this morning :) A little high though 446.

Me too actually... she sometimes starts getting behavioral changes in the blues as well just gets a little flat and droopy. Just not used to it I guess as I've been told. So I'd rather just give her some time to adjust to blues then send her right to greens and have her look flat and vacant.. I don't know though is that wrong? Also I didn't know that the high numbers when she was on 0.1 were bounces! I thought the insulin dose just wasn't enough so I was getting super uncomfortable with the blacks and reds. I'm really happy I didn't increase her dose further then. Thank you for your help. Will she most likely stop bouncing up from blues eventually when she adjusts?

Bounces can occur at not-really-lows if the cat isn't used to those lows (if she's been in high numbers for a while). They can also occur when a drop is very steep-- and we know that Ballonee has that covered! It's hard to say how long a cat will bounce-- some gradually reduce bouncing as they spend more time in lower numbers and get used to them, others have bounced all the way to remission o_O.

Hope today is calm-- glad she's eating well today!

Great job catching that 66 last night! See how deceptive the cycles can look and why it’s so important to get those nighttime numbers. Ballonee just might be one of those cats that likes to drop a little at night.

With an AT, if you are doing the TR protocol, the 66 earned her a reduction back to 0.1u.

Thanks for letting me know the PS tests had just not converted on the US SS. Whew!!! I appreciate you fixing that.

I strongly urge all members with Lantus cats to get a +2 test every cycle they possibly can. If the +2 is similar to or less than the PS, it’s very likely to be an active cycle. If you wait until +3 to test, you’ve got no room to feed to stop that big drop. The big drops and lower numbers cause big bounces.
