Its only been two weeks since my kitty has been diagnosed with diabetes. He is currently on 2.0u of Lantus. The vet recently switched him up to 2.0 from 1.5. Today his pre shot number was 301 and 7 hours later it is 354. is it normal for his BG level to be higher at 7 hours or should it be lower? I am still trying to learn how their BG levels work throughout the day with insulin. Alittle help and guidance would be really appreciated!

That is not normal. Since yo have very little data with both a preeshot BG and BG in between shots it is hard to tell what is going on. Yesterday's PM reading show a typical/expected response.
I would just continue with 2 units and take BG both between shots and before shots to better see what is happening.
