Just an update, as I posted on another thread recently re upping Bob's units as his BG numbers were so high that his incontinence returned.

We went to our (new) vet this morning. She has a wonderful rapport with Bob and after getting a result of over 500 (she uses an AT meter set for mg, while mine is mmol) she agreed that his insulin regime needed to be revised and has now put him on 3u morning and evening.

She still has a thing about dry food and only feeding twice a day, so I avoided discussing the first issue but did get her to concede that Bob is a grazer and we'll have to manage his food intake as appropriate.

She checked his teeth and he has an infection so is back on antibiotics for 8 days.

We will be heading back in a fortnight where she will arrange to have his teeth cleaned.

    Onwards and upwards!

Dental issues have a frequent connection to elevated BG, so hopefully the dental will help to bring his numbers down a bit! Glad you liked the new vet!
