My civvie Fizz just had a dental and the vet discovered part of a plastic bag had wrapped around the base of her tongue and was even somewhat embedded into the tongue. She clipped the plastic and was able to remove it. And Fizz didn't seem to be off her food or acting abnormally over the past months - only started drooling last week.

So pick them up and keep them away from your kitty!

I'm going to show this to our housemate - one of his cats keeps eating plastic...any kind of plastic at all. I've been telling him the cat's going to finish up with problems beyond vomiting it back up - I think this proves it. Thank you for sharing! :) And I hope Fizz is feeling better soon!

She's doing well and is snuggling with me right now, forgiving me for the antibiotic and pain meds I've been pushing down her throat!
