This is in regard to an old timer....our dear Bryce who was diagnosed over 4 1/2 years ago. She turned 10 in July. We have kept the Acro spreadsheet current for those who are interested in her story.

It is with a heavy heart that I need to relay that Bryce, our Acromegaly/diabetic cat went downhill suddenly this week and crossed over Rainbow Bridge tonight. She was very special and taught us so much. She never complained and in fact, had the greatest disposition we've ever seen. We had a tremendous team of doctors and specialists which started with Dr. Lisa Pierson. We are grateful to Dr. Lisa, and our Cardiologist, Dr. Wendy Arsenault, the ER specialists at Sarasota ER, and special thanks to Dr. Stephanie Lantry in Sarasota, Fl. The communication and partnership among them was incredible, and resulted in Bryce being able to live a longer life. We are heart-broken, and will miss her. And in typical Bryce fashion, her last BG on 9/13 was a perfect 124!

And special hugs and thanks to Patti Fuchs and others on the FDMB site for their caring and invaluable insight along the way.

Lighting a ring of candles, in memory of your beloved Bryce.

It's never long enough, but I know you had some wonderful times together. Remember some of those joys and it will help your heart to heal.

    Dear Debbie and Jacquie,
I have Mr. Max who is acromegaly/diabetic cat also treated by Dr. Lisa Pierson. Since I started with Mr. Max doctor Pierson sent me your diabetic chart about three years ago. In the morning when I would updated Mr. Max's chart I would go see how Bryce was doing everyday. I have never met anyone so dedictated as the two of you for Bryce. Having an acromegaly cat is a journey and not a very easy one at times. It would feel less alone knowing that other people are going through the same thing. I am not as lucky here in Canada I have little help for Mr. Max and he is going down fast.I know that I have little time left with him and it scares me.I feel in a little way like I know you and I am so very sorry about your loss. When I saw the last entry my heart stopped and it took me days to go see if Bryce had passed on. Bryce was a very lucky cat the love and care you both gave was unconditional !! Please know that I am in Canada sitting here with a broken heart.

Elke & Francois and Mr. Max xxx

(((Deb and Jacquie))) - I'm just seeing this, and am so sorry for your loss of Bryce. What a lucky kitty to have been surrounded by loving caring people who pulled out all the stops for him. May your memories and love overtake the void left by his absence. God bless!

    Lu-Ann
