Baby has officially gone into remission. IBD I’ve tried about everything under the sun but no better. My vet is wanting her on it now. I know I need to start her on budesonide but I suspect this will cause the bg to rise again. She is having blood in the stool. Anyone have any suggestions or have you used this on your diabetic cat?

I have used budesonide on a few of my diabetic cats. For one I saw no change in BG/insulin needs. For the other I saw a little increase BG/insulin needs

Thank you Larry. Do you have any suggestions on transdermal bude? She basically shuns me when I have to pill her or syringe liquid. Is it a very expensive drug? Tia.... :)

Googling did not show any results for transdermal budesonide. I would not expect that to works since you want it in the GI tract/intestines and it stays there, That is why budesonide has little effect on BG
