? Can I give the adequan with sub q fluids

    Can I give the adequan at the same time through the port on the sub q fluids? It would kill 2 birds with one stone and help distribute the med. And I wouldn't have to poke her 2 x. ???

    I have never heard of giving Adequan in the fluids.

    I could be wrong but what I was reading :bookworm:, it sounds like Adequan is supposed to be given IM, not SubQ. Therefore, couldn't be given through the same port. Hopefully, someone who actually knows will respond :)

    It's ok to give sub q, it takes a little longer, but she doesn't have enough muscle to do that. :) I was just curious if it would affect the potency of the adequan. :)
