Canada & USA: Long Holiday Weekend!

    This coming weekend is a three day holiday for Canada (Friday - Sunday) and the USA (Saturday - Monday) . Quite a few of our members will be celebrating Canada Day and Independence Day with picnics, pool parties, barbecues, weekend get-a-ways, day trips, fireworks, and the like. If you should need immediate assistance and no one seems to be around in the Lantus & Levemir ISG, please cross-post for help on

    If you're on the FDMB this weekend, please check out the other forums. There's bound to be less traffic on the entire board throughout the holiday so try to help out whenever you can. Someone may be in need of YOUR help or support. If you're traveling... please travel safely.

    Do you need to refill or get a script for kitty meds? If you have any inkling kitty may have to see your vet over the weekend get them in while you can. Many vets close on holiday weekends. Waiting for the your vet clinic to open after the holiday can seem like you're waiting forever when kitty is sick and going to an ER is usually expensive! :(    ​

    Glad you posted. I called my vet
    They are there to noon Saturday, then nada Sunday and Monday. So I made a post operation checkup for tomorrow to be sure TiTI 's not backing up crap inside her again. Also to have the vet teach me how to feel her to figure out if she is ok, and to get some stronger meds than Miralax , just in case.

    Most vets are not such good surgeons, so I would not be happy t go to an emergency clinic, even if I could afford it.

    So thanks for the reminder.
