    Hi all,

Me and Sox have been here for a while but has been OTJ for a year and a half.

Past couple of days he's had a slightly runny bum (put it down to the hot weather we're having at the moment)

Noticed Friday morning he kept going in litter box (7 times in half hour) not doing any thing but that soon stopped later that day.

Woke up this morning and it appears he has been spraying blood, checked his bloom sugars they were 12.3 but know this goes up with other illnesses.

Otherwise in him self he seems fine eating and drinking.

I will be contacting the vets but no where open at the moment.

People's ideas could this possibly be a UTI or cystitis possibly?

    Thank you

It could be a UTI or FLUTD.
A vet visit is needed I think.

Yes definitely will be taking him.
With the covid19 at the moment our vets are only doing telephone consultation, but ashume if they need treatment they will have them in

Maybe ask your vet if they can refer you to an emergency animal hospital. Those must be open. Or a vet that is. Most vets are seeing patients curbside. They pick up your pet from the car then call you once they’ve been examined. Where are you at?

Her profile says UK, 5 hours ahead of EDT. Let us know how Sox is doing.
Every vet here has been open since day 1 whether it's curbside or dash in with a mask. She must have options.

Sure sounds like a UTI. Hope he's ok

@Becki and sox how did you get on with the vet consult. Is Sox still spraying blood?

If you're able to you'll save time by getting a urine sample ahead of an in person vet visit. I keep 5 urine kits in stock as the vet will ALWAYS ask for a urine sample (or take one themselves in clinic) for these kinds of issue. If you can't take urine on the morning of the appointment then try the night before and keep it in the fridge.
