I'm not sure if it's the diabetes or the food change but Bones is popping a grayish color with a different odor? He isnt on insulin yet but I think that's going to change today or tomorrow when I get in to see the vet. Could it be diet? His blood work was fine all but the glucose no ketones? I'm really worried.

Sometimes they can have different looking poop if they have some pancreatitis going on. They don't always have other pancreatitis symptoms like lack of appetite, abdominal pan, etc.

Would that have shown up in his blood panel? Or seperate testing?

He'd need a special $$$ blood test for pancreatitis or else the quick yes/no test in the vet's office. It isn't part of routine blood work. The tests aren't that reliable. If symptoms are present vets often treat "as if".

I'd ask your vet about the poop when you go in. Meanwhile watch for other signs of not feeling well.

Good to know I'll definitely ask the vet about it then.
