My civie, Phoebe, has had her left ear kind of down since I have been home. And she has been scratching at the inside of it. It is redder than her right one on the inside and out. She is eating fine and cleaning herself, even playing a little. I cannot see anything iside and felt nothing like a scratch on the outside. She is indoor only. Do I wait and see if she gets better in a day or 2 or do I take her to the vet tomorrow?

I'd take her to the vet. I doubt this will resolve on its own.

Could be due to ear mites, bacteria or yeast. A vet visit is in order.

I agree with the others. Just wanted to add that it could also be allergies.

Thanks everyone...she is better today. Her ear is not red anymore nor is she scratching at it. Maybe it was just a hair in there tickling her and aggravating her. But I really appreciate the help since I am very paranoid
