Shaikha recently has had a few UTIs, so someone recommended trying d-mannose powder to help keep the bacteria from sticking to the wall of her bladder. Though her BG levels have been higher than normal, they seemed to elevate slightly after starting her on it. Since d-mannose is supposed to be a "rare sugar", I'm wondering whether it is wise to use in a diabetic cat.

Has anyone used this supplement in their cat and did it impact BG levels at all? I tried stopping it yesterday and her BG levels went down, so I'm wondering whether it is making matters worse at least as far as her BG levels go. She has a few more days to go on her antibiotic.
