Shanti has two teeth that are getting bad. The vet said he would probably feel better if they were extracted but it is not a critical issue at this time. Besides being diabetic, he has asthma and IBD. Things could go badly with anesthesia. Even when he had an extraction 6 years ago that was a concern although he did fine. What would you do? We have a fund set aside for vet bills so we have the funds but I hate to put Shanti through anything else. I need some others who have been there or just what you all think.

You'd want a veterinary dental specialist if you go ahead. And you'd want to have an anesthesiologist who was very skilled.

Dental infection will make glucose control difficult if not impossible.
