    Hello,
I am new to the group. My 16 yr old Ocicat was just diagnosed with Diabetes. It is very mild 205- but my vet has started him on insulin. He also has kidney disease andIBD. His IBD is severe- he had been on prednisolone for over 2 yrs. My vet said the diabetes may have been caused by the prednisolone. Does anyone have a cat with similar issues? How are they doing? Any advice would be appreciated!

Welcome to the forum. There are many people on here who deal with multiple health issues along with the diabetes. Some people with IBD complications will use budesonide rather than prednisolone to treat the IBD since it has less systemic effect on the glucose levels.

To get more attention on health advice please post on the Feline Health forum :

There are a lot more people that see the posts there and hopefully you can get a good input on what might be helpful for you and Ocicat. :bighug: :bighug:
