My cat tigger is 12 & has diabetes on insulin 2x a day & her blood work alt was very high. normal range should be under 100 & she is at 383. She has been having other issues loose stool & being treated for that but just wondering if this has anything to do with the diabetes or if it's a new problem. my vet did not seem to concerned about the high numbers & she is on medication now for the other infection. any advice on fatty liver would be greatly appreciated. thanks
she is eating good & still running around playing, urinates fine, when she craps seems to have a little discomfort when she comes out of the box and goes a little outside after going mostly in the box.

383 is not that high and alt is not a good indicator of fatty liver. FL is caused by the cat not eating. It could have to do with the infection you mentioned.

are you testing blood glucose levels at home or is that a number from the vet's office? what foods are you feeding? have you tested her for ketones? What is the vet giving her for the loose stools?
