exciting times for acrocats -- new therapies and pictures

    Above is a link to some of the newest info we have on treatments now available for some of our acrocats. Thanks to Wendi and Milo, Heather and Boo, Claudia and Henry for sharing their pics. Also check over in Hi dose as Cindy is the latest to go to CSU with her kitty and she is writing a blog with pics too. It's an exciting time for those of us who have or have had a kitty with this disease.

    Every year between this board and catacro - the sister board to fdmb at least 21 cats are diagnosed with acromegaly. Symptoms are subtle initially and insulin doses do NOT necessarily have to be sky hi:

    initial warning signs can often be:
    male "middle aged" cat
    larger doses of insulin - sometimes you've tried more than 1 insulin
    cat may always have been "a big cat"
