Flat readings - suggestions for dosing?

    You keep raising the dose until you see low blues or dark greens regularly. It might not be every cycle because there can be bouncing that obscures the dose's effect but there should be a definite trend in that direction. If that happens, hold the dose longer but know that a good trend can be a passing run of good numbers and then higher numbers become more regular. It's only when you're at the good dose range for that point in time that you'll see greens and low blues often. Bouncy cats won't necessarily settle there though - they're volatile by nature.

    If you aren't getting good numbers as defined above, increase by 0.2 u after every 3 to 4 cycles. If you hold too long kitty can get "stuck" there - ie., start to develop less response to the dose because of glucose toxicity.

    Thanks! Would you say that his recent run on 3 units means I should have stayed there for longer?

    You weren't getting low blues or any greens so I think it was good to go ahead and up the dose. You want to get lower numbers mid cycle before you stick to a dose.
