Frankie certainly has been keeping you on your toes. Lots of reductions...WOW

Even with the bounces from low numbers and NSs Frankie seems to be clearing those high numbers quickly. Hoping he clears this bounce as fast as he has the others recently. :)

I think you did the right thing reducing, no choice really with that 40 on the AT and given the way Frankie has been working the juice of late.
You've probably already taken it into account, but with the last reduction from the 2.5 coming only two cycles ago, last nights number may have been the depot of the 2.5 talking, time will tell if he is going to hold this, but if he doesn't get back into nice numbers once this new dose has settled after the skipped shot last night then consider calling it a failed reduction.

I hope he holds it and his numbers come back down for you as you start to see what the dose can do.
 
@Gill & George I wasn't sure if the depot could have built up that quick after only two doses at 2.5 units and after a whole day of no insulin. Can it build up that quickly?

It usually takes longer to fill, but with the skipped shots and reductions coming fast and furious there's always the possibility that the inconsistent dosing is leading to wonky numbers.
Ideally Frankie won't soar to the moon with this dose and you'll get some nice numbers and be able to dose consistently so you can tell what it really is doing for him.
FWIW I think that the reduction was called for with that 41 on the AT, but if you don't see him get back into better numbers once this dose has settled(typical 6 cycles for depot to build) then you should consider calling a failed reduction.
 
Yes, I definitely will call a failed reduction if necessary. Frankie isn't a typical cat unfortunately and usually takes about 10 cycles to settle, but saying that there is nothing about his numbers lately that is normal for him!!!!

Just one more question. When you say "wonky numbers" I always assumed that meant higher than normal, but could it mean lower too?
