1. Do you enjoy camping? If so, what kind (tent or RV)?

i think i do and under the stars or maybe a tent. i'm sorry but i don't consider a mobile home going camping :lol: camping should not involve electricity or things such as tv or movies. LOL!!

2. Did your family go camping when you were a kid?

not really. we lived in the sticks so we'd have our daytime adventures walking here and there, picking mushrooms and berries, swimming in creeks, getting poison ivy, etc.....then we'd go home and sleep in our own beds at night....most of the time. we didn't have air conditioning so on super hot and humid nights us kids would take our blankets outside and sleep in the yard, under the stars. our german sheperds, Bisquits and Wolf, would keep us company and make sure we were safe.

i'll never forget the time we were out in the yard, us girls, and the coyote howling kept getting closer and closer. when they didn't seem to be further than the creek from us we got scared enough we skedaddled back into the house.

3. Can you build and successfully start a campfire on your own?

heck yeah. if growing up in the boonies doesn't teach you how to fend for yourself, nothing will. LOL!!

4. Where is the neatest place you've ever been camping?

only place i remember is in the yard and the hills around where we lived growing up.

5. What's your favorite camping food?

when you're camping, any food is good so i'd have to take it all.

No. When my vet asks if my cats are indoor only, I always add that I am indoor only!

Yes. In a tent.

Yes.
4. Where is the neatest place you've ever been camping?
An abandoned lumber camp on Upper Red Lake in Minnesota. A black bear sniffed my back through the tent wall in the middle of the night. We couldn't leave the tent for the outhouse in the morning until she decided to mosey on into the woods. My mom, who was terrified of bugs, snakes, frogs, toads, lizards, and mice, wanted to follow her into the woods because "she was cute".
5. What's your favorite camping food?
Fried freshly caught Walleye pike.

Tent

2. Did your family go camping when you were a kid?
Yes. When I was 3 or 4, they tied me to a rope tied to a tree so I wouldn't get lost. LOL

3. Can you build and successfully start a campfire on your own?
Probably, but I haven't tried in a while.

Hawaii on the beach

5. What's your favorite camping food?
Fresh caught trout

No, I'm a room service kinda girl!

2. Did your family go camping when you were a kid?
Not really, did camp in cabins for girl scouts--then we had to evacuate our cabin because skunks invaded the second night. We spent the next 2 nights sleeping in the mess hall

I have never actually done it, but have watched enough discovery channel to know theoretically how to do it

4. Where is the neatest place you've ever been camping?
I enjoyed pitching a tent in our back yard as a child. You were close enough to home if you were scared, but sleeping outside, telling scary stories was priceless.

5. What's your favorite camping food?
Smores!!!

 

1. Every now & then I like tent camping (especially if there is a shower house around - I like my hot running water!!!). I live in an RV which I LOVE, but it's really not camping. I think a small pop-up type might be fun. We had a camper when I was a kid which was awesome, guess that's why I was drawn to the RV lifestyle.

2. Oh, guess I already covered that one! Yep, every summer, loved it.

3. No idea, never tried, so that's probably a roaring NO.

4. Madagascar.

5. Anything breakfast, camping or no. [ETA: minus the trout that is - can't stand fish except salmon & tuna, and for breakfast... NOPE!]
