Hey looks like Fudge and Pimp are on the same schedule!
He's been on Lantus since Oct 3 and we just had 2 days of this sudden scary stuff!
Kind of sucks the wind out of your sails, eh?But I say you did a great job handling the low numbers today!
Don't give up, I'm not! Just wanted you to know that you're not alone!:bighug:

Holly, refresh my memory ... when you wrote in SS "he ate a lot" - was that referring to today's cycle, or his dinner? How much did he eat at PMPS time tonight?

Let's wait for the +2 before freaking out. But this seems exactly what P did last night. Quickly cleared a bounce after low numbers the prev. day.

No need to stress. Just keep an eye on things; you already know how to steer with food when/ if it's needed.

Holly - good job handling things today!

Can I suggest that you edit your subject line, remove the old info and put in current numbers so people can see from the main page if Fudge is doing ok?

About the drop to +1 . . . remember that meters have a 20% variance allowed by law - meaning that 300 +/- 20% = 360 - 240. So anything from 240-360 could actually be the same results from the same drop of blood. What you're interested in is the overall trend, not just individual numbers. He's plenty high enough he's not in any danger.

It's good to use low carb to steer first before resorting to high carb. If LC will do it, that's ideal.

I'd be going for the +4 to +6 range, based on when he was dropping before.

I agree, the +4 would be a good next test. If you are lucky, he may let you go to sleep after that.
