Glucose curve

    Can I still do a curve if I forgot to test before eating/first shot? I checked it ten minutes after...DOH!

    If you checked within 10 minutes of eating it should be okay to do the curve. Food usually takes about 20 minutes to start affecting the glucose levels.

    Yep, that 10 minutes shouldn't make a huge amount of difference. The likelihood is that the food wouldn't have affected the blood glucose too much at that point...

    Ongoingly though, you'd want to test prior to giving insulin, just so that you know it's safe to do so.

    Yes but you gave important information I missed...always test BEFORE giving insulin!!
