Has anyone found a correlation between hairballs and BG levels? I thought I read something a while back on here. Casey threw up a hairball overnight and had a higher number this morning so I was just wondering if it was at all related.

I would say any change in BG would be due to the stress/discomfort of the hairball and that caused by its expulsion. A harrball may also interfere with absorption of food

I thought it would be related too because CJ was very miserable until she threw up two gigantic hairballs. But I didn't test her till after she calmed down from the incident. Her BG # was surprisingly fine. I had expected it to go up.

Whenever Bat-Bat gacks up a hairball or 2 within about 15-30 minutes of test-time, her # is higher, but then ... I think it all depends on the particular cat.
