My beautiful baby kitty Tigger is in the hospital with pancreatitis, he is a diabetic cat.

Anyways, how do I get his Hematocrit levels up? eat?

Tigger's Hematocrit level was 14 so they gave him a blood transfusion, a day later it was 22, then went up to 24, then last night it was 19 and now 20. How do I get this up?

everyone please pray for Tigger, he is such a good boy and so happy
I need him 100% again, hes able to walk normal and jump 1 1/2 feet now

hes my world, I appreciate every prayer

    Thank you

Anemia in Cats from Max's House. The transfusion should help stabilize him. Low hematocrit can happen from chronic illness and other things. When the vets determine why it is low, they can advise on options.

First the vet has to determine if it is regenerative or non-regenerative anemia. If regenerative that means that the body is producing enough red blood cells but they are either prematurely being destroyed or there is internal bleeding. Non-regenerative is that the body is not making enough.
