This evening Sampson is not walking very well at all. He is 16 1/2 and may have had something happen to his leg not sure. He can't go far and lays immediatlely on his side. We stopped insulin after an episdoe 4 weeks ago after a visit to an after hours emergency clinic and under Vet's orders. I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon but will probably be up all night worried about him. Does anyone have any ideas about this sort of crumpling on his side. He is also a little cranky when I pet him, which isn't always unusual. Can he go hypoglycemic without insulin??

    Thanks so much,

    Vicki & Sammy

Vicki, he cannot go hypo without insulin.

Are you testing him at all? No insulin for 4 weeks with diabetic numbers - he could have ketones.

As far as just one leg - not sure I can't say.

Is your local ER open? I would get him seen right away.

    Agree.
Please have your kitty looked at. it is not right to behave in such a manner.
Can you feel his paws? Are they all the same temperature?
Honestly, I would get him into an ER.

Do let us know how you guys fare.
Paws are crossed it gets much better.
