Hello, today is 19-year-old newly diagnosed Gator's second day on Vetsulin. we were prescribed 1.5u, which I did last night, but he didn't eat so well last night so I did about .6u this morning.

He's due for his evening dose now, but his glucose is currently at 172, so I'm nervous about giving more insulin now, even a low dose. For comparison, he was at 400ish most of the time for several days before we started insulin, and he's been in the mid- to high 300s before his previous doses. I'm brand new to this and trying to figure out what I'm doing, and I'm worried about him getting low overnight while I'm asleep and can't catch it.

    Thank you!

Yes, thank you! I forgot I'd left this post here once I got replies on the main board. :)
