Idjit usually has BG test and first meal between 6:00 AM and 6:30 AM, this morning didn't test until 7:08 AM. Our schedule has been then for +6 to be noon, and +12 to be 6:00 - 6:30 PM. We are trying to get BG for different times of the day and into the PM hours to see how meals affect numbers. My question: can we keep to the regular schedule, or adjust to the hour difference for testing?

Hi. +6 is intended to be 6 hours after an insulin shot. If you were using it that way, and you gave the shot an hour late, at 7am, you would want to adjust your +6 to be 1pm so it would really be at +6 after the actual shot. However, it sounds like you are using it to be hours after a meal. If that is the case, and you want it to really be hours after the meal, you would probably want to adjust it in cases when you adjust the meal time. BUT, if you just want it to be certain times of day, and AM +6 is always noon, then leave it at noon. Because you are not giving insulin, it is not as critical. It is just up to you what you want the data to mean. :)
