Sorry for so many threads but they are all kind of specialized topics.

My vet said to give Newkitty 1 ml of Imodium. She said to get the kind that is 1ml loperamide per 5 hcl. The only kind like that had alcohol in it. I had to get 1ml per 7.5 hcl. Is that ok? Do I still give 1 ml? I haven't given Imodium in years and years, but she has not had diarrhea like this that I can recall. It is basically like (please forgive) beef broth with a tiny touch of mucus. I am sure it burns, and earlier it hurt so bad she puked. She is full of gas. Poor baby! I want her to feel better.

Anyone with any experience on this until my vet opens?

It was suggested to me by a wonderful board member to give my Blackie psyllium in caplet form. I think it'll be gentler for them than the Imodium. You can get the caplets at Walmart, and simply snip off the end of one caplet, and add to their each meal until symptoms improve. I need to get some today as Blackie still has diarrhea, and she's on the Fancy Feast Classic diet (since Tuesday night). Might be something to look into.

Wow...something must be in the air.

My vet recommended Childrens Immodium for Atlas with the same dosage.

For the same reason. We've been battling it for over 10 days.
