Hi, I want to say thanks so much for all the information that people are posting here. I've been creeping the boards since late December when my cat Jimmy was diagnosed. It's been a rough ride for the last few months and in all honesty, I haven't been testing at home and I worry that he's been the worse for it. December he was diagnosed and somewhat stabilized on 5units of Caninsulin, 2x a day. I am just now starting to switch him to full on wet food and starting to try to learn to home test. I have yet to get a successful test in, but I am hoping to get his ears to give a bit more blood with some of the tips that I have seen here. My other cat, Molly, went blind due to high blood pressure and hyperthyroidism in February, I suspect partly due to moving across Canada in January. She is 'almost' at the right dose of methamazole, but remains mostly blind with very limited dark/light eyesight. Its been a challenging couple of months. Anyway, thanks for the information, and 'hi'!
