I just tested Baby with the blood ketone monitor and it came up 1.4!!!! What do I do now?!
That level on a meter is not of critical concern although you do want to be sure to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't keep going up. Make sure Baby is eating and well hydrated and getting her insulin. This thread in post #6 shows the level at which ketones become a more urgent problem.
I got a ketone reading of 1.3.... I got it down by giving extra insulin (if the numbers allow it) and a ton of extra water. Kept adding more and more to her food each time she drank it. Tuna water would work too.
