My cat has been using Lantus for about 4 months. Just recently, he gets nauseated and throws up after a couple of doses of insulin. After that, his blood sugar level will be low enough(from him not eating) to skip a couple of doses of Lantus. When I skip those 2 doses of Lantus, his nausea goes away.

Is this a known issue with Lantus? Why after 4 months of use? I just bought a new bottle for $275.00 :( Would it be like this with other insulins?

Hi, did you mean to post this in the Lantus forum?
Don't worry, you may get more responses if you post both there and here. Posts in the Lantus forum move through very quickly. Posts tend to hang around a little longer in the Health forum and may attract a different lot of eyes...

    Hi!
I do not give dosing advice but I am wondering if he drops too low which may cause the nausea...
    Are you home testing??
    what do you feed?
this will bump up for others and hopefully some experts can help you out--
