Levon's a Wonder Cat! (I hope)

I've been running around today telling everyone about Levon's numbers. 65 glucose and 303 fructosamine. Good kitty!

A little history: Levon had been in remission for over a year until January. Before that he was on insulin for less than two months when remission began. So I was crushed when I caught him drinking water again In January his BG was around 400 again. We started 2 units insulin per day. Until yesterday!

Please, please, please let him be in remission again. He's the best kitty ever. It took me six years working in a shelter before I found him. Not long after that he developed diabetes (or I discovered it.)

Anyway, I'm just very excited about this. I really hope I'm not setting us up for a big disappointment, but just look at those numbers!

Whoo hoo! BD is at 80. We are, once again, OTJ. Levon IS a wonder cat.

 

Fingers crossed these wonderful numbers continue and you and Sofapup (love the name!) live in bliss at the Falls from now on!

Well, it didn't last long this time Kitties are perverse. You can't really count on consistency, can you? He started drinking from the dog's water bowl again, and he tested at 375, fructosamine 546. I can see he's not feeling well, but I'm glad I can tell when somethings's off. Many kitties won't give you much of a sign. Poor Levon.
