MIKO update

Miko was diagnosed diabetes on 6 Jun 2010. My vet recommen to begin the oral medication see weather can control the gluco level. From 17 Jun 2010 until 8 July 2010 the BG level also very high between 13.7mmol - 21.2mmol. We start insulin on 9 July 2010 using solostarpen 2 unit twice a day went drop to 4.0 mmol 1 unit. Only eat Innova EVO Cat & Kitten Canned. Is the only low carb that i can find in Malaysia. Until 27 July at 9.30pm we try to off juice. PLEASE ADVISE a bit confuse, will MIKO consider off juice after 14 days?

Hi Theng,

I remember when you first posted. It does indeed look like Miko just needed a little insulin to go into remission. Congratulations to you both.

I would suggest that you test his blood glucose just once a day for another week or so - just to be sure, and then after that, you can cut back to once or twice a week.

You've done a great job, and I'm very happy for you and Miko.
